Online Reputation

Online Reputation Marketing field has evolved from the marriage of the fields reputation management and brand marketing, and involves a brand's reputation being vetted online in real-time by consumers leaving online reviews and citing experiences on social networking sites. With the popularity of social media in the new millennium reputation, vetting has turned from word-of-mouth to the digital platform, forcing businesses to take active measures to stay competitive and profitable. A study done by Neilsen in 2012 suggests that 70% of consumers trust online reviews (15% more than in 2008), second only to personal recommendations. This gives credibility to the social proof theory; most famously studied by Muzafer Sherif, and highlighted as one of the six principles of persuasion by Robert Cialdini. The increasing number of review websites such as Yelp and ConsumerAffairs attracted the attention of Harvard Business School which conducted a study of online reviews and their effects on restaurants. The study finds that a one-star increase in Yelp rating leads to a 5–7% increase in restaurant revenue having a major impact on local restaurants and a lesser impact on big chains. A similar study conducted at UC Berkeley reports that a half-star improvement on a five star rating could make it 30-49% more likely that a restaurant will sell out its evening seats.

Google Advertising

Google Ads is a great way to expose your company and product to interested customers. In the PPC (pay-per-click) marketing model, part of an inbound marketing strategy, an advertiser bids on certain keywords that users type into search engines, in order to display a related ad to those users, hopefully drawing them into the advertiser's site. Search engine PPC advertising is a great alternative for a business that is struggling to get a leg up on the competition in their SEO ranking. Unlike organic SEO rankings which can take time (even months) to establish – especially in highly competitive sectors, paid PPC advertising can instantly put a business’s ad on the front page of a user’s search. PPC advertising on partner networks works by placing a more static ad (such as a banner ad) on another website. This is a less targeted approach than search engine advertising but it is usually less expensive as well. PPC advertising has a number of advantages which we have already noted. But one of the things that marketers like best about PPC marketing, is how easy it is to measure return on investment. Unlike traditional advertising, SEO or social media, PPC tools (especially AdWords) provide a whole array of metrics that allow you to see what is working and what is not. This means that you can adjust your approach and marketing budget accordingly – based on real numbers and not hunches.

Social Media Marketing

Social media is one of the most powerful tools in your marketing arsenal. If you use it correctly, you can create a strong personal connection with your prospective customers. However, marketers often make the mistake of diving into social media without a clear plan. At best, this is a waste of time – and at worst, it can lead to a PR disaster. To benefit from social media, you need to build a clear strategy that takes into account what you’re trying to achieve, who your customers are and what your competition is doing. Youtube Advertising

Probably the most popular YouTube video ad format, in-stream ads play your ad before or during another video from a YouTube partner. A viewer's immediate reaction tends to be full of grimaces, groans, and complaints since you’ve taken the liberty of interrupting their YouTube video viewing adventure. Viewers are obligated to sit through 5 mandatory seconds of the ad, after which they get to decide if they want to keep watching or skip the rest of the video and go on to what they wanted to see in the first place. If you’ve done some good targeting and have an interesting video ad, viewers might opt to continue watching, which can only mean you’re doing it right!. With in-stream video ads, you don’t pay unless the viewers watch your video for 30 seconds, or until the end of the video. If they choose to skip, you don’t pay a penny. What’s great is that with this option, you can create videos longer than 30 seconds, allowing you to experiment with video ad lengths. In-stream ads allow for contextual targeting, interest targeting, and demographic targeting. The more specific your campaign, the better. A powerful platform. Search Engine Optimization

As part of any digital marketing strategy, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is integral to driving customers to your business via online platforms. Effective marketing demands it. One of the main marketing strategies that can help online retailers build a successful Internet business is search engine optimization (SEO), the process of tailoring your website to the algorithms that search engines use to rank websites based on "signals" that the site emits. However, search engine algorithms continue to change with time as the Web evolves, so online retailers need to evolve with the engines. We must make sure we keep up-to-date with best practices to claim the best possible rankings for relevant keywords

Content Marketing

Content marketing is much more than creating, distributing and sharing content in order to engage audiences, generate leads, improve branding, and other marketing goals you can serve with content marketing. It needs a strategic approach and that’s what a content marketing strategy is all about. Content marketing fits in a broader integrated marketing strategy and it requires a strategy of its own. However, just as all other strategies regarding specific marketing techniques (email marketing or social media marketing, for instance) such a strategy needs to be integrated in a broader strategy. Digital Remarketing

Digital Remarketing allows you to show ads to people who've previously visited your website or used your mobile app. Dynamic remarketing takes this a step further, letting you show previous visitors ads that contain products and services that they viewed on your website. With messages tailored to your audience, dynamic remarketing helps you build leads and sales by bringing previous visitors back to your website to complete what they started. Remarketing, also known as retargeting, is a type of online advertising that shows ads to people who have visited your website, or a specific webpage, and may have exhibited a specific behavior (e.g., not converting into a site conversion goal). So, let’s say you just were viewing a product on Amazon but didn’t make a purchase. When you go to another website that uses display advertising (or Facebook), Amazon can use remarketing to show you an ad featuring that same product you didn’t buy, nudging you to make the purchase. But you can also use remarketing to create audiences using email addresses you’ve collected from your current customers or through lead generation. Talk to one of our Marketing Pros!
